WHO WE ARE

American Legion Post #1 has been the anchor of its community since 1919. This storied hall has served generations of veterans and their families and continues to do so presently. The Post boasts two event rooms to host your private events: the cavernous Washington room and the more intimate Lincoln room . Between the two, Post #1 can accommodate most any event large or small. Hundreds of local families have held their special events at the Leonia Legion including Birthdays for all ages, Weddings, Sweet Sixteens,  Anniversaries, Retirements, Repasts, Memorials, Christenings, Communions, Confirmations,  
Bar and Bas Mitzvahs and more.
The Legion is also perfectly appointed to host business meetings, training and networking events. We would love to add you to our list of families and organizations served, not just by our Members (Veterans), but by our hallowed halls! We encourage you to reach out today to book your special occasion with us. We also offer full-service catering, floral and entertainment services through our trusted partners, as well. Our Grounds can be included for outdoor events either open air or tented. Countless children have been lost in imagination while playing by our anchor which is the from the USS Intrepid!

Welcome to Leonia Legion

American Legion Post #1 was chartered in 1919, and for more than a century our members — veterans and their families — have anchored this community and hosted its biggest celebrations. Today, our hall offers two versatile spaces, the expansive Washington Room and the more intimate Lincoln Room, comfortably accommodating up to 150 guests for whatever you're planning, big or small.
